Today we have some wonderful news to share with you. After researching and workshopping with the community of the Nyae Nyae Conservancy… After working together with the Namibian Ministry of Education… After designs and re-designs of architect Nina Maritz… In short, after years of preparation, a remarkable milestone was reached: the building of the first new school has started!

We are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported this project over the years, but a special mention should be made of ‘Sustainable Housing Solutions’, who will sponsor all the building costs.

The new school will be built with Bauppanel technology. The school will include classrooms, hostels, teacher accommodation, kitchen and ablution facilities. Furthermore, the school will be fully equipped with furniture. Solar panels will providing electric power and lights. The builder contractor hopes to be finished by early December, amply in time for coming school year.
