South African Grade 2 classes learn about the Ju/’hoansi Bushmen

Project Manager Nicolette van der Meer and her son Thomas went to all Grade 2 classes of Sun Valley Primary School (Cape Town, South Africa) to tell about the Village Schools and the Ju/’hoansi bushmen.

Thomas spend his October holiday in the Nyae Nyae Conservancy. He learned a lot and was keen to share this new knowledge with his school mates.

The Grade Twos were all ears and had lost of questions. What a fun day at school.

Thomas also asked his friends to save any stationery that was left over end of the school year. The result was overwhelming: many pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors, rulers, pencil holders, and much more were collected.

In February 2019 all the stationery will be taken to the Village Schools.

The Project Managers and family hope to move to Namibia in 2019 and start building the new schools.

But first: happy holidays everyone!
